बोध कथा २५ : संकल्प

                    समुद्र के किनारे एक  समुद्री पक्षी रहता था. उसे जब यह  पता चला क़ि मादा पक्षी अंडे देने वाली है ,तो उसने समुद्र के किनारे पत्थरों  के बीच में  घोसला बनाया .कुछ समय बाद मादा पक्षी ने अंडे दिए. अंडे जब फूटे तो उसमे से छोटे-छोटे चूजे बाहर निकल आये. अब दोनों नर-मादा पक्षी यह सोचने लगे क़ि बच्चों के लिए जब दाना लाने वे बाहर जायेंगे तो इन छोटे बच्चों का ख़याल कौन  रखेगा  ?
                  नर पक्षी ने थोडा विचार किया और फिर हाँथ जोडकर समुद्र से बोला,''हे समुद्र देवता , जब तक हम वापस नहीं आते आप हमारे इन बच्चों का ख़याल रखना .'' इतना कहकर वे दोनों चले गए. इधर समुद्र को यह लगा क़ि इतना छोटा सा पक्षी और उसकी ये मजाल क़ि वो मुझसे अपने बच्चों क़ी रखवाली के लिए कहे ? समुद्र ने इस अपना अपमान समझा और ऊँची लहरे उठा-उठा कर उसने उन छोटे बच्चों को अपनी गिरफ्त में ले लिया.
                 शाम को जब दोनों पक्षी वापस आये तो उनके आश्चर्य का ठिकाना ना रहा .समुद्र जोर-जोर से गरज रहा था.उन पक्षियों को सारी बात समझ में आ गयी. गुस्से में उन्होंने समुद्र से कहा ,'' हे समुद्र,अगर तुमने हमारे बच्चे नहीं लौटाए तो हम तुम्हे पीकर सुखा देंगे .'' उनकी इस बात पर समुद्र और जोर -जोर से गरजने लगा . वे दोनों पक्षी जाने क्या सोचकर उस समुद्र का पानी पीने लगे.ना जाने वे कितना पानी पी पाते ,पर उन्होंने शुरुआत तो कर ही दी. वे जब ऐसा कर रहे थे तभी आसमाँ से पक्षियों का एक बहुत बड़ा झुण्ड  वहा से गुजरा .जब उस दल ने उन दो पक्षियों को समुद्र का खारा जल पीते हुवे देखा ,तो उन्हें बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ .वे सब नीचे आये और सारी बात उन्होंने मालूम क़ी . उस दल के मुखिया ने उनके प्रति सांत्वना व्यक्त करते हुवे कहा क़ि,'' भाई ,आप चिंता मत करें .हम भी आप का साथ देंगे और इस समुद्र को पी कर सुखा देंगे .'' अब हजारों पक्षी समुद्र का पानी पीने लगे .
                 इतने में वहां से पक्षी राज गरुड़ गुजरे .उन्हें भी यह देख आश्चर्य लगा क़ि हजारों पक्षी समुद्र का खारा पानी पी रहे हैं.जब वे नीचे आये और उन्हें सारी बात मालूम पड़ी तो उन्होंने भी समुद्र को पीने का निश्चय किया.गरुड़ क़ी तलाश में थोड़ी देर बाद भगवान् विष्णू  आ गए.जब उन्हें सारी बात मालूम पड़ी तो उन्होंने कहा क़ि ,'' ठीक है ,मैं भी आप लोंगो क़ी मदद के लिए समुद्र को पीऊंगा .'' भगवान् के मुख से ये बात सुनकर समुद्र डर गया .वह हाँथ जोडकर सामने खड़ा हो गया.
           समुद्र ने भगवान् से माफ़ी मांगी और उस पक्षी के बच्चों को भी लौटा दिया. दोनों पक्षी अपने बच्चों को पा कर बहुत खुश हुवे.
                                इस कहानी से हमे यही सीख मिलती है क़ि हमे फल क़ी चिंता किये बिना अपना कर्म करना चाहिए.कार्य कितना भी कठिन क्यों ना हो ,वह नामुमकिन नहीं होता.बिना प्रयास के ही हार मान लेना बुद्धिमानी नहीं है .किसी ने लिखा भी है कि-----------------------------
                         '' करनी है हमे एक शुरुआत नई ,
                           यह सोचना ही एक शुरुआत है '' 
 

रश्मे मोहब्बत में इश्क की खुदायी की ,

रश्मे मोहब्बत में तेरे इश्क की खुदायी की ,

जश्ने जजबात में तेरे प्यार की रहनुमायी की ;

बड़े रश्क से निकले आंसू मेरी निगाहों से ,

क्या खूब महफ़िल जमाई तुने बेवफाई की /

.

हुश्ने बहार से क्या मैंने आशिकायी की ;

तुझे दिया जिगर तुने ही आतितायी की ;

तमन्नाओं ने भी खो दी अपनी हसरते ,

क्या हंसी मेहंदी लगायी तुने दिल पे जफावों की /

वो वाकयात /

स्कूल जाते हुए मेड़ों पे चुंटों का झुण्ड ,

पहली में था डर के रुक गए कदम ;

बड़े भाई जों ३ साल बड़ा था ने हाथ बढाया और मुस्कराया ,

मैंने हाथ पकड़ा और चुंटों को डांक स्कूल की तरफ कदम बढाया ;

आज उम्र के इस मोड़ पे वो मोड़ बहुत याद आया /

बड़ा याद आया भाई का वो बड़ा हुआ हाथ /

.

५ में   था और मैदान पे क्रिकेट का खेल ;

टिका हुआ था पिच पे सूर्यास्त तक का था मेल ,

जिद लगी हुई थी आउट नहीं होना है ;

सारे साथी एक तरफ मै पिच पे डटा पिछले एक घंटे से था ;

बड़ा भाई १० साल बड़ा आया और हाथ में गेंद ले मुस्कराया ;

अगली २ गेंदों की तेजी से मै बीट हुआ मै डर और गुस्से से तिलमिलाया ;

भाई नजदीक आया और मुस्कराया ,

ना डरो खुद पे विश्वास करो ;जितने की जिद धरो ;

मै डटा रहा बिना आउट हुए ;

बड़ा भाई ने मुस्करा के पीठ थपथपाया ,

जिंदगी के इस मोड़ पे बड़ा याद आया भाई का वो विश्वास / 

बड़ा याद आया मेरी पीठ पे वो हाथ /

                                       '' हमे कभी भी सच का साथ नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए.हमे सत्य क़ी राह पर चलना चाहिए. सत्य को परेशान तो किया जा सकता है लेकिन उसे हराया नहीं जा सकता '' 
                                        ये कुछ बातें हैं जिन्हें सुनते हुवे और सच मानते हुवे जिन्दगी के लगभग ३० वसंत बीत गए हैं. एक दिन अचानक जब धैर्य जवाब देने लगा तो मन में प्रश्न उठा क़ि -आखिर, यह सच होता क्या है ? जिसका साथ दिया जाय . और यंही से सब गुड-गोबर होना शुरू हो गया .जब सोचना शुरू किया तो सबसे पहले ख़याल आया क़ि -इसमें इतना परेशान होने और सोचने जैसा है ही क्या ? सच वही है जो हमे गलत रास्ते पर जाने से रोकता है.बुरे काम करने से रोकता है .अनैतिक आचरण से रोकता है .
             लेकिन यह सोचने के बाद तुरंत फिर मन ने ही कहा ,''भले आदमी,यह कौन निश्चित करेगा का क़ि सही क्या है ?और गलत क्या है ?नैतिक क्या है ? और अनैतिक क्या है ?यह निश्चित करने का अधिकार किसे है ? कंही ऐसा तो नहीं है क़ि ये कुछ ऐसे शब्द हैं जिनकी व्याख्या लोग अपनी सुविधा के अनुसार रचते है ? 
                 यह सोच ही रहा था क़ि कंही पढ़ी हुई, ये पंक्तियाँ याद आ गई   क़ि --------------------------------------------------------------------                        -----''जो उपयोगी है ,वही सत्य है ''  
 शायद यह बात मस्तिष्क में चल रही मेरी सोच को बल प्रदान करने के लिए ही  आई थी.

Ghazals bring a multi-lingual city together

The Gazal got indianised and began speaking in all the major languages of the vast country over the last few decades, articulating deep social concerns that had largely replaced the earlier romantic vocabulary and stock images of lovelorn couples pining for each other on long lonely nights. In the 90s, the renovated form was all the rage in the drawing rooms of a pluralistic nation and Gazal singers like Gulam Ali and Jagjit Singh were great draws everywhere.

On Tuesday, March 2, the historic Gazal arrived in the suburbs and united a multi-lingual city. The occasion was the release of the debut collection of 45 well-crafted Gazals by city’s leading entrepreneur, philanthropist, politician and social worker Vijay Pandit. “It was my birthday also. So, I decided to celebrate it in a big way with my friends and convert the bash into a literary event,” says Pandit.
The three hour evening programme, held at a Gurudwara in Kalyan west, saw a sprinkling of politicians, academics, media professionals, businesspersons and writers of Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and English. Called Phir Kisi Mohd Per, the collection of couplets in flawless Urdu and Hindi was released by an admiring Govind Rathod, commissioner, KDMC, in the presence of, among others, eminent educationist Dr Naresh Chandra, senior businessman Nand Kumar Sonawane and poet Alok Bhattacharya.
“He writes in classical vein and his content is socio-political. These are very mature poems and show his artistic and altruistic side,” remarked Alok. “For me, languages unite the people of a diversified country like ours rather than separating them. I have used both Urdu and Hindi in my Gazals to underline the composite culture of India. It is a confluence of different languages that explores the same national ethos and spirit,” added Pandit .
This is his third poetry collection so far. “Gazal is very complex and demands full attention. It is a disciplined art that requires patience and labour. In this collection, I have attempted this form for the first time,” elaborated the birthday boy, dressed in ethnic wear and donning a red headgear, combining tradition and experimental art.
The event was hosted by a young talent Manish Mishra in a superb manner. A rich banquet then waited the fans of the Gazals and their Gazalkar on the lawns of the Gurudawara. The memorable evening witnessed the birth of a promising poet.

“The very act of remembrance is important to me. In this high tech age, very few busy folks will do such a personalised thing for others and decide to spend quality time with those who are not even remotely related to them. It is real remarkable in a society heading for collective amnesia.

Their humane gesture shows that emotions do count in relationships for some.”  In fact, this can serve eminently as a manifesto for the Kalyan-based ten year-old Sanskriti Sangam (SS), an apolitical and non-profit organisation being run by a couple of well-meaning and well-known Kalyankars.
“Spreading harmony and secular values through our cultural platform is the main motto. We organise a big birthday bash for our members and if that is not immediately possible, we make it a point to visit the birthday boy or girl at their residence and add to the joy and fun by participating in the festivities with the family. Their welcoming smiles are our prized moments of shared happiness,” elaborates the vivacious president of the Sangam, Vijay Pandit, the key architect of this unique concept.
“While travelling, we often celebrate birthdays even on a plane, train, bus or car. The presence of that person is of course ensured. We carry all the paraphernalia and greet the surprised person and then, cut a cake and hand over a memento to him,” further explains Omprakash Pandey, another senior member.
So far, they have celebrated more than 10,000 birthdays in the last one decade and plan to continue that in future also. That is one activity. “We also inform people of the demise of our members or bereavement in their families through hundreds of SMSes. Majority turn up in this hour of crisis for the affected member and try to reach out by helping in whatever way possible,” says the multi-faceted Pandit who runs many other organisations in the city.
The SS has grown now into a close-knit collective of members drawn from various backgrounds and communities. There are Maharashtrians, Punjabis, Sindhis, North Indians and Muslims — all united by their love for arts, literature and music. “When people retire, we felicitate them. The artistes and writers get honoured annually.
There are musical events, poet symposia and folk song evenings for light entertainment. Top rankers and poor students are also honoured and helped economically,” says Pandit. Blood donation drives are held regularly. And, most important, struggling writers and poets are given financial assistance through the organization and their promising works, published.
“They are like fresh air in a polluted urban jungle and a hope for the threatened secularism for the country,” believes the celebrated poet Alok Bhattacharya of Dombivli.
