Looks like 2010 is going to see loads of international level vehicles in India, we already have the news about Beetle, Harley Davison, Reva NXR and NXG models, however there is another news from the same sector but this time it’s not about the Cars and Bikes, it’s about the Trucks.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) and Navistar Inc of the USA, come together for the joint venture Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd (MNAL), MNAL is going to launch their Trucks in HCV segment on Indian roads.
According to the statement given by Daniel C. Ustian, initially they will launch the products developed under the joint venture MNAL, and later they will also bring their preexisting product range in USA too, to India.

Biofuel cultivation: A new business opportunity for Farmers

Oil Marketing Company, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), is planning to cultivate non-edible oil seeds such as Jatropha and Karanjia, in Uttar Pradesh. Such oilseeds are used in production of Biodiesel (Biodiesel has better lubricating properties and much higher cetane ratings than today’s lower sulfur diesel fuels.).
According to the officials of IOC, the talks with U.P. State Government are in process to get wasteland in the area of Lalitpur district of U.P. This cultivation will be done by IOC and partly on contract farming basis, which definitely will open new doors of employment and business.
Apart from this, as said above, wasteland is planned to be used for this plantation, which definitely will promote a greener environment.
The Union Cabinet recently approved a national policy on biofuels according to which implementation of 20 per cent blending of biodiesel with diesel and ethanol with petrol (the current rule is 5 per cent) by 2017. The new policy may consider financial incentives such as subsidies and grants for biofuel production. The policy also envisages setting up of a National Biofuel Fund and a National Biofuel Coordination Committee headed by the prime minister.

After 150 years, Rabindarnath Tagore will be honoured with a sheet of 10 stamps to celebrate the 150th birth Anniversary of  Rabindranth Tagore, by the Royal mail of UK.  Previously Royal Mail had released stamps for various people who made history before like Arthur Conan Doyle, Fred Perry, William Goldsmith and Mary Wollstonecraft.

According to the Telegraph the stamps for Rabindranath Tagore might get released this coming book fair and will also be available to public for direct sale.
I remember as a kid I used to collect stamps and this reminds me of those days. It’s good to get reminded of people in history through this so if not too much but involve your kids into stamp collection so when they come across a picture or an event displayed on stamp they ask you about it.

PAN is crucial when filing your income tax as it is mandatory to mention it when you file a return. In fact now it has become so mandatory that you need it while doing a heavy cash deposit in banks or even  while opening a new bank account.
You can get a PAN from an authorized franchise or  agent as appointed by National Securities Department Ltd or the Unit Trust  of Indian Investors Services Ltd. To apply for PAN you will need to fill in form number 49A to one of these services center or ask  the authorized agent to give on behalf of you.
You will have to give documents like Proof of Address, Proof of Personal Identity which could be your passport. In case you are doing it for a company  you will need give a a certified copy of the certificate of registration, proof of your company address also.

How to get a TAN or Tax Account Number
TAN  or  Tax Account Number is required if you are going to deduct income taxes at source for example an employer deduct certain amount of his employee’s salary which is called a TDS or Tax Deducted as Source. Under the Income Tax act, any company or person collecting or deducting tax at source must apply for TAN.
To apply for TAN you will have to fill in form no 49B where you can apply for Individual level or for company level. The form should be submitted at any TIN ( Tax Information network ) Facilitation center that is authorized to receive e-tds returns.

One of the most popular people and awesome batsman Sachin Tendulkar, has stopped taking shower, as taking a shower wastes a lot of water, and instead he uses just a bucket of water to take bath.
This fact was revealed when Sachin went to shoot a ‘Save Water’ ad for the civic body, and the civic body was impressed with this, and to make the ad more effective they used this fact in their ad campaign as well.

“Thirst for runs never ends but if thirst for water has to be quenched then it should be used with great care,” says the ad.
This will be a 30second ad, and was shot at MCA grounds in the Bandra-Kurla Complex on Sunday; Sachin shot this ad dressed up in his cricket gear. The ad will be ready for screening soon.
Facts reveal that Mumbai is already undergoing 15% water cut due to insufficient monsoon.
This act of using just a bucket of water, in order to save water, clearly shows the civic sense in Master Blaster, I am not a cricket fan, nor do I understand anything about, but I am really impressed with Sachin Tendulkar for this.
Saving water is something which isn’t the need of Mumbai only, Water level is going down day by day, hence not only Mumbaikars rather every Indian should make it a point to save as much water as he/she can.
